Lucid attended the AUES Industry Night to meet potential graduates and show them what we have to offer as leaders in the building services industry. Over 100 pamphlets were distributed on the night to eager students interested in undertaking placement with us.
We were afforded the opportunity to present during the Chapman Lecture where Steve Pavloudis and Harry Jamieson gave the students an insight into the building services industry and the important role that consultants play throughout the life of a project. They explained the fine balance between engineering expertise and ability to communicate this knowledge, what Lucid looks for in graduates and our strategy behind work experience placements extending into graduate positions.
The students provided positive feedback on Lucid’s recent involvement in the Renewable Fluid Power Technologies course run by the School of Mechanical Engineering, and specifically how they enjoyed applying principles learnt through lectures to a ‘real-life’ scenario with real life constraints such as funding and legislation.
A big thanks also goes to Andrew and Jarrad Braham for sharing their specialist sustainability knowledge in this program.
