Merchant Apartments

The Merchant Apartment project within the Bowden precinct has recently been awarded a 5 Star Green Star rating by the Green Building Council. Lucid were engaged as the Building Services and Lead Green Star consultants for this project and this certified Green Star rating is a great achievement for both Lucid and the project team.

Throughout the design phase, Lucid have actively collaborated with the architect and project team to incorporate passive design features and improve the environmental performance of the building. The Green Building Council assessment panel also mentioned that Lucid’s submission was very comprehensive.

The Bowden precinct redevelopment sets a benchmark in Adelaide for sustainable medium to high density residential development. Lucid’s Sustainability Group in Adelaide, led by Roman Charles, has been very active on the Bowden precinct having achieved a 5 Star Green Star rating for the Nexus Apartments in Bowden in 2014 and are currently involved in two other exciting projects in Bowden: the Bowery Bowden and ‘B’ Apartments. The Green Star certified rating for the Bowery is expected by the end of the year and the certified rating for ‘B’ Apartments is expected by mid 2016.
