Congratulations to Hindmarsh Construction, Hames Sharley, and all those that were involved in the Ergo Stage 1 apartment development on being nominated as a finalist in the 2016 Property Council Awards.
Late last year, Hindmarsh submitted Ergo Apartments into the 2016 Property Council Awards – Best Residential Development. The project has since been successful at the State level and has been nominated for another National Award. The results for the award are due to be announced in June this year.
“Adelaide City Council’s Ergo project is a central plank of its affordable housing agenda. Sitting on a 6,400 square metre site and previously an open lot car park, Ergo Stage 1 features a commercial tenancy and 72 affordable apartments. A showcase for affordable housing, Ergo Stage 1 demonstrates how a clever development can deliver new public realm and pedestrian links which add value to the community.”
From a design perspective, the project had a keen focus on sustainability throughout the design period, and each of the three buildings achieved an average NatHERS energy rating of well over 7 stars. A coordinated BIM approach was utilised throughout the design, documentation and construction periods, resulting in smooth delivery of the project.
