This month marks a special time for the company known as Lucid. Not only is it our 15th birthday, but it is with great pleasure that we announce three new Directors promoted within the company – Nick Adcock, Cowan Ashton-Taylor and Jarrad Clift.

Nick Adcock has been made a Director of Lucid Consulting Australia, joining the present Directors Anthony Di Marzo, Bruce Hatwell, Pat Callisto and James Bowman. The Adelaide office is also looking forward to Nick moving back to Adelaide and taking up the role of State Director responsible for the Lucid South Australian operations. Nick brings with him a wealth of experience having recently held the role of State Manager for Lucid’s Melbourne office.

Nick has demonstrated strong leadership since commencing with Lucid in 2010, and eventually being responsible for commencing Lucid’s Victorian operations in 2012, in which time he has overseen 2 office relocations and staff numbers grow to 30 staff.

Nick is passionate about returning to South Australia, and realises the challenges faced in a tightening market but is of the opinion that if you stick to your core values, and continue to strive for successful outcomes for our clients, there will always be repeat business.

Nick leaves Melbourne in safe hands with James Bowman, a current Director of Lucid Consulting Australia relocating from the Lucid Darwin office to take up the Melbourne reigns.

Cowan Ashton-Taylor has also been made a Director of Lucid Consulting Australia, joining the present Directors as above. Cowan joined Lucid in July 2006 and since that time has excelled in the design and project management of large and complex developments. Cowan was promoted to the role of Associate in March 2010 before moving to Perth in 2012, where he established the Lucid WA office which he has since overseen the growth to 25 staff. Cowan is confident about the Western Australian market, which he advises has responded well to the Lucid way of service delivery. We are very ‘hands on’ and readily accessible to our clients, which client’s appreciate. We are also one of the very few offices in WA that effectively deliver a multi-disciplinary service. Cowan advises that “our core business is the delivery of multi-disciplinary services, which we deliver successfully thus saving the architect and/or project manager time in having to manage multiple disciplines”.

Cowan is currently also overseeing the Lucid WA office fit-out design, in readiness for the office relocation in December 2015 to a recently completed building for which Lucid were the Building Services Consultant. Cowan states that “this is a very exciting time for the office. We are continuing to grow but importantly we seek and employ staff who understand our core values. Our core values are client focussed. Our clients are everything”.

Jarrad Clift has been made a Director of Lucid Consulting Australia, after previously holding the position of Director of Lucid Projects Australia (LPA). Jarrad commenced work with Lucid Consulting in 2005 and since then he has established significant experience in mining infrastructure, heavy infrastructure, specialist facilities and project management - which led to his appointment as Director of Lucid Projects Australia in 2012.

Lucid would also like to congratulate Jarrad on 10 years of exemplary service to Lucid. This is a milestone that carries great credence in the Lucid organisation and is great personal credit to Jarrad.

Jarrad recognised the opportunity for his group in the Western Australian market and has since relocated and resides in Western Australia working out of our Perth office. Jarrad believes that an agile workforce is important in this market and being able to locate people where the work is guarantees that the company is sustainable. He has since grown the Lucid Projects Australia part of the Lucid operations to 25 staff over 2 offices (SA and WA), and is involved with very exciting projects including projects in the Defence, Oil & Gas, Grain Handling and Waste Management fields.

In addition, Brent Pergallini an Associate with Lucid has taken on the role of SA State Manager of  Lucid Projects Australia (LPA) group, whilst Caine Harris will be on partial study leave during 2016 - in order to complete his Law Degree studies and qualification at The University of Adelaide.
