Lucid Consulting Australia were invited by the University of Adelaide to facilitate building energy performance simulation training workshops to the School of Architecture and Built Environment.

Sustainability experts Yanni Papadopoulos, Jarrad Braham, and Jack Noonan conducted the computer simulation workshops for students from all levels of the Architecture school.

The tailored workshops not only provided students an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of building performance simulation but also demonstrated how architectural design decisions can impact directly on the thermal performance of a building.

With a strong focus on graduate development, Lucid Consulting Australia believe that investing time in the undergraduate programs will provide the students with a better understanding of the role of Consulting Engineers within the Construction Industry.

Feedback from both staff and students regarding this initiative has been overwhelmingly positive and Lucid are investigating opportunities to provide similarly focused workshops within Universities across Australia.
