The Lucid Melbourne Nomad’s 9 a side AFL touch football team displayed ‘grit and determination’ last week to take out a decisive win to close out the season. The team, made up of staff from Lucid’s Melbourne office, formed last year and have played consistently every Thursday night despite enduring a season-long losing streak.

In last Thursday’s match, stellar performances from Kevin Smith, Matt Hill and Justin Stojanovski kept the scoreboard ticking over while blood, sweat and tears were spilled in defence by the hard running Allister Mickan. First season star recruit Harry Jin battled gallantly in the ruck against a towering and physically dominant opponent.

The season-long losing streak was soon forgotten as the Nomads savoured the sweet taste of victory in the lead up to next season’s opener.
