Work on the Yorkshire Brewery site is well underway at 1-21 Robert Street, Collingwood. Lucid have been working alongside SMA Projects Australia and Icon Construction Australia in the redevelopment of this historic site.

The new mixed-use development will be a combination of several buildings ranging in height from three to 17 storeys.

A central element of the development is the six-storey brick brew tower, the site’s most prominent historic feature. The original brew tower, along with the cellar building and stables, will all be restored and converted into residences using a mix of timber floors, exposed brick and concrete to reflect the development’s past.

In addition, there will be several new structures built around the existing site using a minimalist approach to merge the new structures with the site’s historic buildings. Overall, there will be 356 residential apartments including ground floor townhouses and ground floor retail spread across the several buildings.
