Halls Head Central Shopping Centre Expansion

To meet the demands of the regional population growth, Vicinity (formerly Federation Centres) undertook a major expansion of the Halls Head Central shopping centre in WA.

The 15,000m² expansion consisted of a new K-Mart discount department store, an ALDI supermarket and 52 new specialty tenancies. The neighbourhood shopping centre is located approximately 75kms South of the Perth CBD.

In addition to the main building works, the expansion included new lighting to the existing mall, carpark lighting, upgrade of existing fire systems and an upgrade of the shopping centre’s audio visual systems.

Having successfully delivered the Warnbro Shopping Centre Redevelopment for Vicinity under a Design and Construct Contract, Lucid were again novated to the same Construction Manager and played a key role on the commissioning and early handover of the anchor tenancy.

Lucid completed the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and fire services for the $40M expansion works.
