Westfield Sports High School is one of New South Wales’ leading sports-specialist public high schools, with a growing student population and the need for upgraded facilities to match modern learning standards. The challenge was to deliver flexible, future-ready infrastructure that could support technical learning, without disrupting school operations during construction.
Lucid was engaged by Schools Infrastructure NSW as part of a collaborative team including Mode Design and Hindmarsh. We led the design and documentation of all building services for the new three-storey building, known as Building S, as well as site services upgrades and temporary teaching facilities.
We took a pragmatic, whole-of-campus view — ensuring our engineering strategy supported the school’s educational mission while integrating seamlessly with existing infrastructure. Careful staging and coordination minimised disruption, ensuring the school remained fully operational throughout construction.
