Art Gallery of Western Australia

The Art Gallery of Western Australia, founded in 1895, occupies a precinct of three heritage buildings on the South-Eastern corner of the Perth Cultural Centre.

The gallery houses the State Art Collection, which includes one of the world’s finest collections of Indigenous art, the pre-eminent collection of Western Australian art and design, as well as Australian and international art and design.

Lucid was engaged to provide new lighting to four galleries and the concourse on Level 1 with associated controls and distribution board upgrades. The lighting selections were high quality, adjustable track lighting to showcase each art work piece.

Lucid project managed the construction phase which included complex staging requirements to ensure the gallery was never closed to the public for the duration of the works.
