Building the Education Revolution (BER) Schools

The Building Education Revolution (BER) Schools project delivery was an intense, multi-site delivery of school projects around Adelaide, South Australia.

The projects were all delivered in a fast track time frame cognisant of school calendar years. Lucid worked with multiple architects and builders to deliver on this important government initiative.

Lucid played a major part in this important government initiative and delivered all engineering services disciplines on more than 120 BER projects including both government primary and secondary schools and private Catholic and Lutheran primary and secondary schools. The BER projects were delivered between 2009 and 2011. Procurement of Lucid services was varied between direct school engagement to building contractor novation.

Projects comprised of the following mix of development works:

• Libraries – new and extensions to existing.
• Multiple halls.
• Covered sports facilities.
• Covered outdoor learning areas.
• Classrooms.
• Private school bespoke development.
