City of Prospect – Community Hub, Library & Innovation Centre

The project involved the construction of new facilities and refurbishment of the existing heritage town hall to establish the new Community Hub, Library and Innovation Centre located at 128 Prospect Road, Prospect SA.

The project outcomes to satisfy the brief included flexibility, ICT functionality and value, all of which were achieved.

The project was procured under a Managing Contractor arrangement and the works entailed the refurbishment of the existing town hall (500m²) and construction of a new 3,000m² building area, including:

• New library facility.
• New civic centre multi-purpose facility.
• Office space for Council’s staff and elected members.
• Commercial office tenancy.
• Undercroft car park to accommodate approximately 135 vehicles.

Lucid completed the mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire services, vertical transportation, fire safety engineering and sustainability consultancy for the $16M project.
