Healesville & District Hospital Redevelopment
The project involved the redevelopment of existing wards and community health facilities at the Healesville & District Hospital for Eastern Health.
The $11M redevelopment included providing a new operating theatre, renal dialysis facility, entry / waiting area and administration wing.
In addition, the existing community health building was refurbished to bring the current facility up to current day standards. Given the age and condition of the facility, a major component of the refurbishment involved extensive upgrading of all building services equipment and infrastructure on the site.
During the design and documentation phase, extensive consultation was undertaken with all stakeholders and the community in general to ensure that the end users felt engaged so that the end product would be embraced.
