Huon Payne

Associate

Huon commenced work with Lucid Projects Australia in 2014 as a Mechanical Engineer. In 2018 he was promoted to National PDS Defence Manager and has since been promoted to Associate, based in our Adelaide office.

Huon has worked on a range of projects across several regions of Australia exposing him to a variety of engineering fields, project management and project delivery. He has held several positions during his time at Lucid, including relocation for several years to our Perth office to assist in the delivery of major projects for Western Australia. Huon’s experience as a mechanical engineer has also included work on Australia’s first Automated Waste Collection System (AWCS) located in Queensland.

Since joining the Defence team, Huon has been integral to the growth of the sector enabling teams in each region to deliver key projects with a focus on upfront, professional consultation and quality of delivery.

Outside of work you’ll find Huon chasing adrenaline most weekends on his motorbike, snowboard or mountain bike.
