Leabrook Retirement Village

Leabrook Retirement Village was constructed on the former Coopers Brewery site in Leabrook, South Australia.

The village comprises 108 luxury apartments including a mix of multi-storey residential buildings and independent living units. The main building incorporates administration, offices, cafe, pool, gym and community facilities. Undercroft car parking has also been thoughtfully integrated within all buildings to maximise development potential on the site.

Lucid completed the mechanical, electrical, fire, hydraulic and vertical transportation systems design and documentation for the $80M project. The project was constructed over six stages from 2007 to 2010. Importantly, services requirements for each stage ‘keyed’ into the next thereby ensuring build-ability and allowing the required staged occupation.

Insightful space planning and taking a long-term view to infrastructure capacity resulted in a seamless expansion of the development over the stages thereby ensuring that the client’s final vision for the site was realised.
