Megafauna Museum Fitout

The project involved fitout of Todd Mall office space in Alice Springs for the Megafauna Museum to exhibit megafauna from the Alcoota Fossil Collection.

The exhibition showcases a selection of the Alcoota fossils and provides a tourism and educational experience, including interactive multi-media technology to depict how the prehistoric animals may have looked and the conditions that they were living in at the time.

The Alcoota Fossil Beds are located approximately 200km North East of Alice Springs and contain a unique occurrence of well-preserved and rare vertebrate fossils that are approximately eight million years old. The new exhibition also provides appropriate storage, preparation and research space for the fossils.

Lucid completed the mechanical, electrical, access control, hydraulic, fire services and ESD consultancy for the $1.5M project.
