MEDIA RELEASE

LUCID BOARD APPOINTMENTS
1 FEBRUARY 2021

Lucid is excited to announce board appointments that will enable greater skills to our board on behalf of our stakeholders.

At the 2020 Annual General Meeting on 11 November, Lucid shareholders voted in favour of increased non-executive director participation in the Lucid board. As a staged process this will bring greater diversity and skill to the board, enabling effective delivery of our Strategic Plan.

In January 2021, Lucid appointed Paul Billingham to provide increased financial expertise to the Lucid board and organisation.

Paul has recently retired as Sydney Office Chair and Head of Consulting of Grant Thornton after more than 30 years with the firm in both the UK and Australia.

A Chartered Accountant and experienced strategy and governance advisor, Paul spent over a decade on the executive leadership team of Grant Thornton and founded, lead and successfully grew Grant Thornton’s National Financial Advisory and Consulting businesses.

He aims to bring this experience to the Lucid Board as it continues on its growth journey.

“My attraction to Lucid was very much the clear ambition of its leadership team to distinguish Lucid in the Australian market and a real preparedness to think differently in order to do so. Experience shows that where there is such clarity of vision and with a properly aligned leadership team huge opportunities often follow – I am looking forward to being part of that,” said Paul.

Bruce Hatwell was re-appointed as Chair by the board following the AGM. In 2021 he will concentrate his time working exclusively within the board.
